Happy Thanksgiving! And happy Uncharted 2 playing time! Everyone knows that Uncharted 2 is a kick-ass game, everyone loves it and I love it too. But get this, there will be a free DLC on Friday, November 27. It will be a multiplayer download which will be named "The Fort". According to press release, "The Fort is a long rectangular map with wide open spaces and excellent flank routes." There will be a shotgun and a RPG and like I said, it will be free! Also, at 1pm ET Double Cash weekend will start! We will get to a Doughnut Drake and Doughnut Lazarevic for new skins. Modern Warfare 2, Got my copy! 11/12/2009
I just received my copy of Modern Warfare 2. First of all, the game is great! I absolutely love it. I pre-ordered it for free from Points2Shop. I pre-ordered it about a month ago and it was shipped on the day of release. It took about two days for delivery and I'm very happy with it. It took 2 day just because it was a Veteran's day. Here is a video of me unboxing Modern Warfare 2, I hope you enjoy it! Unboxing my Uncharted 2: Among Thieves 11/10/2009
Unboxing my Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, ordered mine 2 weeks ago and just got it a week or so ago. I'm uploading my unboxing just now; well, because I was so busy playing it, I forgot. The game is great! The campaign is kind though. I really, and I mean really, enjoyed the campaign. It was fun, it was entertaining, it was the best campaign I've ever played. I'm not saying you should abandon your CoD. But this will pull you in and you might spend few hours climbing walls, hiding behind the wall to get that sweet kill, or just enjoying the graphics and phisics of this beautifully constructed game. In today's games, online is a huge part of the game. Uncharted 2 has a nice online, but not the best. It is really fin and all, but you HAVE to look for players every time you finish playing one game. It's not because there are no player, its because it was made that way. That is basically the only negative I've found about this game. Here is a video of me unboxing my copy of the game that I got for free from Points2Shop. My Modern Warfare 2 game is already on it's way to me, so I will upload a video of that too. Take care for now. DSi LL is BIG! 11/10/2009
Isn't it huge? I don't think it actually fits in the box! The DSi LL box is soo small, but the DSi LL it self is huge! Just look at that screen, it looks like its twice as big as DSi's. And don't forget the stylist, it looks like the thing itself will take half of the box. But seriously, this box design has appeared on Japanese Amazon, it doesn't show much; but definitely shows that the screen will be much bigger. If the price is right, I will be buying this for my sister, or rather getting it for free from Points2Shop. (buying with my points) 60 millions dollars on a game? Yep, you heard it right, that's how much it has cost Polyphony Digital to develop this one game. They have spent 5 years on developing this game and it is still not done. The number came from creative lead Kazunori Yamauchi who was on-hand demoing his game. The reason why it is taking so long and costs so much money, is because in order to "get it right", you have to spend money and time. Yamauchi also added that "we threw the legacy code from GT4 and started from scratch ... It's been five years from GT4 and that's the same amount of time it took to develop the first GT4." Even though he didn't give a date when the game will be out, he did say, "That's more depending on SCEA marketing decisions." Pre-order this game for free from Points2Shop. Sony Financial Report... 10/30/2009
Sony has lost $4.7 billion this year... Sony's recently released FY Q2 2009 financial report, which included not such pretty numbers for invertors. The loss is from the company's "networked products and services" which included video games hardware and software sales. The biggest impact was the decrease of PS2 hardware and software unit sales. PS3 has lost Sony $4.965 billion! That sure is a big number, but it's not that bad if you look at other system. Some of the good news; since the price drop, ps3 has been doing great! PS3 is outselling Xbox 360 and other consoles! Since the new 'Slim Ps3' "the differece between sales and materials cost has been reduced to between 10 and 20%. Within the year, it could be in the single digits." Sony CFO Nobuyuki Oneda later added, "we'll be able to reach profitability at some point in the next term." I think he is absolutely right! PS3 sales jumped 800,000 year-over-year with the launch of the slim. Uncharted 2 Update. 10/30/2009
Naughty Dog showed this picture, now what would it make you think? When I first saw this picture, I was all like, "OMG! Skeleton-zombie-helghast looking thing is coming to Uncharted 2". As it turns out, it not it. This was just a little joke developers decided to play on us. What will actually happen is they will fix some bugs in the multiplayer. Also, for those who are not really into Halloween and will be playing Uncharted 2 while little kids knock on your door to get some candy; this is great news. You will receive DOUBLE cash while playing online all weekend! If you don't have Uncharted 2 yet, GET IT! This game is amazing, loved every part of campaign and I do enjoy the multiplayer. JOYSTIQ has found some details on the news, here are the questions and answers: Joystiq: Was the PS3 application developed internally by Netflix? Netflix: Yes, with the help of the Sony team. Can the Netflix application be installed to the PS3 hard dive from the disc? Or must the disc be inserted every time a user wants to access Netflix? Yes, the Netflix disc has to be inserted every time to access the Netflix service. Why a disc-based application and not streaming access through the PS3 browser? Netflix members and PS3 owners have really wanted a way to instantly watch movies and TV episodes streamed from Netflix via the PS3 system. The instant streaming disc represented the fastest and easiest way to let them do this. Why not distribute the application via PSN download or firmware update, and then embed it into the XMB? Again, the instant streaming disc represented the fastest and easiest way to let PS3 enthusiasts get Netflix on the PS3. Late next year we expect to have an embedded solution available for PS3s via a system software update slated for release through the PlayStation Network. Is releasing the PS3 application on a disc required by an exclusivity agreement with Microsoft? The Netflix agreement with Sony for PS3 is consistent with the terms of our partnership with Microsoft for Xbox 360. Our goal is to give members the opportunity to instantly watch movies streamed from Netflix via the widest variety of Netflix ready devices. All of our partners are aware of our goal. Is any new content being added to the Netlfix streaming catalog alongside this announcement? We are constantly adding content to better serve our members, however we did not announce new content alongside the PS3 announcement. Can users search the entire Netflix streaming library from the PS3? (On Xbox 360, browsing is currently limited to 100-movie categories.) Similar to Xbox, subscribers can search lists of movies in categories such as New Releases, Drama, Action, Comedy, etc., and will have access to the entire library available to watch instantly. Will special features typically found on DVD and Blu-ray discs (e.g., additional audio tracks, director commentary, etc.) be available through the PS3 application? No. Is there any difference between the content catalog available on PS3 versus Xbox 360? No. Does the PS3 application include any features that aren't in the Xbox 360 application? No. Are there more features being planned for a future update? Again, late next year we expect to have an embedded solution available for PS3s via a system software update slated for release through the PlayStation Network. Finally, what's the update on a Netflix application for Wii? Certainly, the Wii represents a great opportunity given the size of its installed base, but we have nothing specific to say about it at this point. The Xbox partnership has been terrific for Netflix members, and we're equally excited to announce the partnership with PS3. Netflix is soon to be on PS3 10/27/2009
Sony has definitely been stepping up! The system now is really affordable, slimmer, and cool updates are always on the way. Now you can watch hundreds of movies every month for just $8.99! As I understand this, the movies will be in HD and all you have to do is download it. The first few months we will have to use a Netflix CD instead of a program installed on your PS3. You can even manage your streaming query right from you PS3, no need to use a computer. I personally think this is an awesome idea and Netflix will get a lot more customers ones its released! If you already have a membership with Netflix; you are in luck, it costs NOTHING to get it on your PS3. Free PSN Cards. Sony Confirms 250gb PS3 for $349. 10/19/2009
Soon this sweet system will be availalbe in US. This was available to other countries, but now its in US as well. Only for 350 dollars you can get a 250 gig slim PS3! I personally thing is an amazing deal and definetely worth the price tag. I paid 445 dollars for my 40gb 'fat' ps3 and I'm super happy with it. I have been using it for a year now and its a great system. Here is what some people said about this deal: "Wow...that's a great deal." "That's it I'm buying another PS3." "I was thinking of getting a PS3 and now I'm ready to tap... buy one." |
